Our blog has been a slow going process of trial and error so far, and as we grow in our readership, we hope to bring you some of these more life-oriented posts. In the meantime, we will continue to bring product reviews and slowly branch out into more personal topics.
Both of us still have an entire year of college left and we already cannot tell you how many times we've stayed up late into the night - yes, sometimes doing homework but other times complaining about everything and anything, concerned about the present, the future, and the past. Through these conversations, we've found solidarity, positivity, inspiration, and even solutions to our problems, ideas that we want to share with you in what we call Real Talk Thursdays.
Sometimes you just gotta talk it out or get it onto paper, whatever "it" may be.
In an abstract sense, most life problems come and go. Step back from your problems, look at all of the good things in your life (past and present) and just know that if you are at a low point in your life, the only way to go is up. We tend to forget that bad times are only temporary.
If your problems are a big deal, but only a big deal for you, that's ok. We tend to turn small problems into huge disaster scenarios all the time and they eventually resolve themselves. Not always the way we want, but they usually work out better in the end. If it doesn't seem like that to you, it's not the end of the story yet. Ever have a breakup? 6 months, 1 year later - does it still hurt? You're still in the middle of writing that story. In a better relationship? Now you have living, breathing proof that your breakup was for the best.
Have faith, it gets better.
