So this year is our senior year of college... We've been looking forward to this moment for the past three years and it's a little bittersweet.
It's the pinnacle of achievement, at least to some. To others, it's now become a standard. Either way, after 18 years of school, we're anxious to be rid of the world of homework, tests, essays, quizzes, organized learning, book buying, ridiculous parking permit charges, financial aid applications, etc... you get the picture.
But we can't just go out quietly. Before stepping into the world of adulthood, we want to embrace the last remnants of adolescence. So we decided to make a Senior Year bucket list of all the things that we hope to achieve before school ends. Here are some of the items on it so far:
1. Go to a nearby bar and walk back to our dorm. Done!
2. Watch at least 5 "classic" movies. So far we have completed one: When Harry Met Sally.
3. Go out of town. (hopefully to Vegas!)
4. Choose friends before school (at least once per semester).
5. Be more laid back but still...
6. Work hard, play hard. Embracing the "Why Can't We Have Everything" mindset means balancing it all. After all, we can't tell you how to have everything without doing it ourselves!
7. Attend a local ribfest (held down the street from our school, so you would think it couldn't get any easier than that; however, 3 years later and we still haven't been). Done!
8. Go clubbing downtown! Done!
9. See our fave bands in concert - Chicago and Justin Timberlake. Done!
10. Get more followers! With that comes regular posts - aiming for at least once a week!
Each goal takes one step at a time. Make a little progress each day and eventually you may reach it. Stop wasting time looking at what everyone else is doing with their own lives and make one of your own. You have a limited amount of time to be young. Do something with it.
